Lehnen Industrial is happy to announce the addition of two new team members, Rick Fuller (left) and Matt Smith (right). The new hires were brought aboard as part of a long-term plan to increase production and capacity as customer demand continues to increase.

Matt Smith joined the team toward the end of November of last year. With thirteen years of experience in project planning and a total of more than twenty years in manufacturing, Matt stepped into the position of Project Manager with a strong skill set and a winning attitude. His ideas and contributions are already making an impact.

“The environment Peter has created here is one that people feel comfortable sharing ideas and collaborating with teammates without consequence,” Matt says. “Everyone’s ideas and opinions are heard and matter here.”

Matt is excited about the move to a company that caters to the life sciences. “I really like knowing that we are making a difference in people’s lives with the machines we engineer, overall helping to make the world a better place.”

In his free time, Matt tries to spend as much time with his wife, their two sons, and their 160 pound Italian Mastiff as he can. They enjoy attending sporting events and spending time outside hunting, fishing, hiking, or getting out on the water in a kayak or canoe.

Rick Fuller brings twenty-five years of experience to his role as a Controls Engineer. His time at Nanotech as an Integration Engineer/ Lead Electrical gives him a unique, well-rounded perspective on the work we do here, and his insight is already a recognized asset. Though he only joined the team in early January, he cites a great environment and great co-workers as the best part of working at Lehnen Industrial.

Outside of work, you might find Rick kayaking at his favorite spots (Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Nubanusit), spending time with his kids, shooting sporting clays, or “building and fixing things.”
